- Texture is important to defined as the surface quality of things in our home. With this, textures in the floors that we walk on, the furniture and the walls plus the ceilings are covered with the textures. Stone and wood predominate as the textures of choice in getting the look that is tactile but very welcoming and comforting.

- Value is the degree of lightness or darkness in our home. The amount of light that is needed in a room. Having light effects can be done into two different approaches. In the daytime, as much as possible, harness natural light through windows, skylights and door slides. The warm and cozy looks of sunlight in the entire room can not be substitute that gives a warm glow.

- The trend is to go light. White is fast becoming known for attracting a resort feel. The crisp and clean feeling of white is equated with freshness and cool, clean, and calming feeling in room .
