Locavore Kitchen and Drinks: A Perfect Place To Chill After Work

It was another gastronomic experienced last night from Locavore Kitchen and Drinks. We enjoyed the foods, the drinks, the company and the night with tummy full. We had a fun-filled night with music and laughter. Exchanging opinions about the food while munching every bite we take as the fabulous feast has been served to us.

First, we have the Singkamas (Native Turnip), Mangga (Mango) and Bagoong (Shrimp Paste) with Patis (Fish Sauce) and Chili Flakes as the dip. Followed by their Street Food Platter, which consisted of Fish Balls, Squid Balls, Kikiam, and Quil Eggs with a dip of Vinegar, Chili sauce and Sweet Sauce.

It feels comfortable as with sets of food for the appetizer. Love the sweet sauce for fish balls and quail egg. The Shrimp paste is perfect for the Mango and Turnips in sticks.

Then, the parade of main dishes comes along the way. It was started with the Oyster Sisig, Sizzling Sinigang, Boneless Lechon Belly, Oyster Omelette and the Garlic Brown Rice. Sizzling Sinigang is something new to me, and I love the "asim" of it that makes it more flavorful and you can taste it in the meat.

Next is the Sugpo (shrimp) Con Mayonessa, Dinuguang Lechon, Kare-kare Wings, Mac's Boneless Fried Chicken and the Ginataang Kalabasa.

The Sugpo Con Mayonessa was a hit in our table, and it was my favorite, I would say. Dinuguang Lechon is pretty sweet but will complement with the Garlic White Rice. For Mac's Boneless Fried Chicken the Garlic Brown Rice perfect while the Organic White Rice is great for the Kare-kare Wings which also a must try in the place.

We had the Torta Mangga that consists of Mango, Meringue, Tablea and Dulce de leche on it, which is also another must try. They as well served Turon con Leche and Bicho Bicho for desserts.

As a dessert monster and based on my taste test, I prepared the Torta Manga. And of course, it was served with drinks. I have Dalandan Juice while my other blogger friends have the Pineapple, Watermelon and Apple Juice while others are solved with Soda and water.  Try their Seira Madre Wheat Ale, it taste like the branded beer available in the market but actually being produce by a local traders.

Price range is from Php200 to Php800 and the serving is good for 2 to 3 person. It is indeed a perfect place to chill... Good food, pleasant music and an excellent place to bring friends.
