Villards Cup For Billiards Enthusiast


What's the buzz? Oh well have you heard about the Villards Cup? It's now making a buzz all over the country.   It's actually a billiard tournament but for a cause that lends to support our country's amateur billiard players. 

Leading by the Chairman and Managing Director , Senator Manny Villar and former LasPinas Representative Cynthia Villar of  Villar Foundation is staging the 2012 series of Villards Cup. A billiards tournament happens last September 23 and 24 at the newly opened Starmall in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. 



There are sixteen amateur players from all over the Bulacan province are competing for that event with the support of course from our Philippine Billiards legend such as Efren "Bata" Reyes, Francisco "Django" Bustamante, Ronnie"The Volcano" Alcano and Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo.


"Billiards now matches the popularity of basketball among Filipinos, especially the youth. Support for this sport should be encouraged and enhanced,"

The senator is hoping that this Villards Cup will be the instrument in discovering and developing new potential amateur billiards players who give honor for our country. 



Villar Foundation, on its 20 years, they have been implemented to support the thrust in different sports development such as Sports in Barangay and football clinics.

1st: Edgie Geronimo (Marilao)

2nd: Eduardo Lim (Meycauayan)

3rd: Resty Labastida (Bocaue)

4th: Roberto Bilicario (Sta. Maria)

5th: Kennet Matheu Garcia (Marilao)

6th: Marlon Glinogo (Bulacan)

7th: Jonas Paolo Ramos (Baliwag)

8th: William Trinidad (Angat)
